As the title suggests I am new to all this.

I have all the basics in my head along with a few ideas, but I am open to any hints and tips to help get me started.

Also I am wondering what most people do on the subject of tagging their work........do you or don't you and why?

On the subject of tagging, how do you choose your "nickname"? On here I am The Stinky Midget and have started my blog with this name, but I worry that it may he found offensive by some (even though it is a combination of two affectionate nicknames by boyfriend calls me).

Any feedback would be most welcome.

Hey don't worry about anything if your going to yarn-bomb!!! As long as  nothing gets damaged, and you keep away from sites that you know you really shouldn't be there! then go for it!(we dont do anything religious! etc) your name is great! its different! If you want to remain anonymous you can!  or go public, like a lot of yarnbombers do!    We tag our work, as we have a page on Facebook and its a good way of finding out where things go off to live!  We like our work to be taken! but it can get upsetting when something you have spent hours knitting/crocheting gets ripped down very soon after it has just gone up!!!  but again that's part of the game!! Worth bearing in mind though!! as i almost certainly will happen!! Its not everyone's cup of tea! but it's good fun, so dont worry and have fun!!!!

Hey! I think your name is awesome! Go for it! Like the granny's said- I tag all my work so that people can find my blogs/profiles! It helps open up the world of yarnbombing to the public when they follow the link on your tags! Plus, it's nice to hear from people to find out what they think! Just remember, have fun! :)
