Well done!  Thanks so much; what a fun night it was with the cops getting keen on knitting too.

HI I have been knitting for a very long time and have taught my children and grandchildren to knit and it is wonderful to have new inspiration from sights like this. I am a member of the local knitting group "knit one sip one" here in the Cotswolds and as a group we visited unravel 2012 (brilliant, will be back next year) and we have plans underway to yarnstorm our local market town for the first time for international yarnstorming day on june 11th which may raise a few eyebrows but will brighten the place up and the local bookshop is going to put on a knitting window display for us. I also with another member of our knitting group sell knitted allsorts, faeries, hats bags, bracelets, scarves,vw cushions ,knitted pictures, clothes and much more at a local craft fair. I love the ravelry website it is a great resource and very pleased to have found this website, thank you

hi - I'm a solo yarnbomber in Chipping Norton, Oxon - been at it for over 6 years! Today I discovered a poem written about my activities here in our town - it was tagged to one of 'my trees'. Nice to know that all this effort is appreciated.

Thats brilliant I love hearing little stories like that! I look forward to seeing some of you work, so welcome and make yourself at home. :)

Hi all, am a solo yarn bomber in Horsham, Vic. Been knitting on and off (mostly off) since 2005, only know the one stitch though but been crocheting since Feb 2011 and taken to that like a duck to water. Can always be found with yarn and hook in hand where ever I go.

Member of the Local Spinners and Weavers group as well...and generally yarn mad! :D

Hello!

I started yarnbombing after reading the yarnbombing book and learned how to crochet off of youtube. I have been doing it for a little over 2 years now and I love it so much. I keep working on bigger and bigger projects. It's great that yarn bombing is getting more and more popular. I love seeing new pieces on the internet and in real life too!

Hola!
Intro, here we go.  I'm part of Aunty Social, a Blackpool community group that likes all things arty and crafty.  We put on various activities that encourage people to get out and socialise including film screenings, crafternoons, 'Hey Ho let's sew!' and Knittaz with Attitude.  We have a lovely craft workshop in Blackpool town centre which hosts a variety of classes and activities which we subsidise.

Personally, I like making all sorts.  It's usually silly, brightly coloured or related to computer games/cake or all three. Huzzah!

Anyone in the Blackpool/Fylde Coast area who wants to come and play, do get in touch!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Gaylin and my Mom taught me to crochet when I was about 8.  A few years ago I got some books and learned to knit.  From the first picture of yarnbombing I saw, it was all over!  The more pictures I see the deeper my Love/Obsession for this incredible art form grows.  Knowing that my soul would wither and die if I didn't jump in and go for it, I will be yarnbombing my town Florence, Oregon on the evening of May 17 the night before our annual Rhododendron Festival.  Any tips or helpful hints would be welcome and appreciated!  Thanks for this wonderful site and all the amazing, creative people who do this!

^^ Hi Gaylin! Welcome to our wooly knitwork! Glag to have you hear and to see how enthusiastic you are about yarnbombing! Remember to post pictures for us all to see!
