Secretly, on the evening of 8th June 2012 'Knit Corsham' will be installed in the small, market town of Corsham in Wiltshire, England. 'Like' us on facebook.
We hope for jaw dropping amazement on the morning of 9th (International Yarn Bombing Day).
This installation will be part of the Corsham Festival, which runs from 14 - 17 June 2012 details here.
If you would like to make your mark - we'd love you to join with us!
Measurements can be found here and are updated regularly.
The address to post your beautiful creations to is:
Diana Hatton, The Pound Arts Trust Limited, The Pound, Pound Pill, Corsham, Wiltshire, SN13 9HX, England.
Unfortunately we cannot return work – it will be washed and donated to a local animal rescue centre for bedding or (with your permission) auctioned off to raise funds for the new emerging Artist's Studios being built at The Pound.
We would, however, LOVE to acknowledge any contributions, so if you would like to send a message and your ‘knit name’ we will find a way of displaying this.
Most of the street furniture pieces have now either been completed or promised, but we do need 'oddities'. 'Kingfisher Castoffs' sent us a few and we loved them so much, would love to display more. Can you help?
Bollards/Lights. 71cm high x 48cm circumference - 5 required
3 pieces required. Height 74cm. Top 17.5cm. Bottom 27cm. Sphere 39cm circumference.

Comment by Knit Knax on June 12, 2012 at 8:34 So glad you you're safely here and I see no rain, so far, this morning. I don't work at The Pound, but will be coming up sometime today to install YarnBomb Genny's exquisite Washington State Rhododendron piece. Hope we can all meet.
Comment by Mr Stitch on June 11, 2012 at 22:34 Have arrived in a pretty wet yet beautiful Corsham, checked into B&B quite late so went into town and found a really good little Indian for our evening meal. I must say what I have seen so far is amazing and excited to get up to the Arts Centre in the morning then back into town early afternoon. I even spotted a the fish of Kingfisher Cast Off's, bunting of the one and only Shaddow_Stitch. Yay!!
